Prof. Tükel, Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, and Director of the Center for Microbiology and Immunology, Temple University, is one of 63 fellows elected this year to the AAM. The Academy is the honorific leadership group and scientific think tank within ASM, and are elected through a highly selective, peer-review process based on their records of scientific achievement and original contributions that have advanced microbiology.
