GEORGANNE K. BUESCHER (nee Kretschman), age 61, of Phila., PA, on Feb. 20, 2005; wife of Jerome G. Buescher; daughter of the late George L. and Gertrude L. Kretschman. She had a long association with Thomas Jefferson University and Thomas Jefferson Hospital, beginning in her teens as a volunteer. As her education progressed, she was in turn a technologist and then a supervisor in the hospital’s clinical microbiology laboratory, a faculty member in what is now the Jefferson College of Health Professions, a faculty member in Jefferson Medical College, and a faculty member and Associate Dean in the Jefferson College of Graduate Studies. 

Her accomplishments were recognized in 1993 by the Christian R. and Mary F. Lindback Foundation Award for Distinguished Teaching and in 2003 by the Distinguished Alumnus award from the Alumni Association of the Jefferson College of Graduate Studies. Most importantly, kindness and care and respect for students at all levels were the unmistakable touchstones of her life. 

Friends are invited to her Services at Christ Church in Phila., Second Street above Market, on Sun., Feb. 27th at 2 P.M.
