ASM-CLSI Course on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing
Don’t miss the new ASM and CLSI five-part series titled “Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing: Mechanisms of Resistance, Antimicrobial Stewardship, and Infection Prevention” beginning March 1, 2017. This webinar series provides a thorough coverage of key issues encountered when performing antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) within the clinical laboratory, including the detection of common and novel resistance mechanisms and the utility of antibiograms and antimicrobial stewardship in infection prevention.
This webinar series is designed for laboratory technologists but is open to anyone who would like to participate. The webinars will be presented every other Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. (eastern). Webinars include the expert’s 50-minute audio and slide presentation, followed by ten minutes for questions and answers. Can’t make the live event? The presentation will be recorded and available for viewing one week after the live event. Learners will receive an email once the recording is available. These webinars can be viewed by the purchaser an unlimited number of times for up to one year following the live event. If you purchase a topic after the live event, you will only have access to the recording.
The webinars’ content does not build on the previous webinars in the series. Purchase one, two, or all five webinars! The cost is $30 (ASM members)/$45 (non-members) per webinar or a bundle price of $138 (ASM members)/$207 (non-members) for all five topics. Each webinar includes a pre- or post-activity to enhance the impact of the presentation and is accredited for 1.0 P.A.C.E.® credit. Continuing education credits can only be claimed by the purchaser. ASM is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. Program. All presentations are recognized by Florida Department of Health and qualify for Florida CE credit toward license renewal. This webinar is sold to individuals and does not include site licensing.
